Dirt Road Journal
Christmas morning with four inches of fresh snow

It is actually pretty rare to have a Christmas Eve where it begins to snow.  My husband and I only remember once before this year where we were lucky enough to truly experience a white Christmas.  And such a beauty it was to wake up to a fresh blanket across the valley.  It seemed to change the attitude and spirit of everyone we spoke to.  Christmas simply became more special this year because we had snow.  Maybe it has to do with the fact that we’re desperate for water too, and it feels so good to get some precipitation. So my family and I we got out into the weather and enjoyed the winter festivities.
